Baby clothing

Hello all,

When I visited Hanover this March, I bought some skirts over there for my little baby, I found that the price difference between China and Germany is really too much! Is there any business chance in this field?

Best regards,
PaulC

I guess the price difference should be 4-5 times! one skirt I bought in the supermarkt in Hanover(I remember the name is some what like Moebel) costed 12euro, the other one costed 11euro. also the sock costed 6euro(with some latex underneath).

but in china the price is much lower, some times the clothes my wife bought for my baby are only 5-10 RMB.

I'm sure that the quality and the material are not the same, but anyway the difference is still too big, what do you think?

Then just buy in China. Who want to have good quality on their baby anyway, right?

I find quality clothing in Germany much cheaper. In China can be easily double the price or more. Hugo Boss is a good example.

Nope, not any more. You're about twenty years late.

But Yan... most of the clothes you can buy in Germany have been produced in China or other comparable countries. Only few companies are not having any production plants in start-up countries. Hugo Boss might be one of the rare examples, but who can afford buying all clothes from Hugo Boss (which is extremely expensive also in Germany)?

Hi Laogai,

You're right, there's no opportunity anymore, but I'm just curious where the profit goes, because I think that these kind of products should be produced in the countries like China, Vietnam, India etc.
