Business class nach Chongqing oder Xi'an ab 1299,00 €

Looks like Ctrip is either not on the ball or having some great offers for us in China trying to visit home. Looked last night for a flight from PEK-STR next week, and found both BA (via LON) and SZ via AMS to be less than 3500 RMB (including taxes).

The taxes show as zero and when you go ahead and process with the booking it gives you the same price for checkout. Now I know if this was EU, they would have to honour this price, but its China...

anyone want to try booking one...?!
(better not call them, in case its going to be honoured, if booked online...

Well, went ahead and ordered online. Low and behold the fare came up as 3190 RMB grand Total, including taxes and charges (one indicated as 0CNY, the other as 690CNY).

Paid by card online, and got the confirmation No, but no confirmation email. Got an email instead, asking me to call Ctrip. After calling they try to add the taxes (over 4000 RMB). Cheeky fcukers! They then went into the booking and changed the total there, without telling me...

Waiting for the Manager to call back now. Lets see if this is going anywhere.

Aehnliches Erlebnis hatten wir auch kuerzlich. Flug ueber Ctrip gebucht und online bezahlt. Ein paar Minuten spaeter Anruf von Ctrip, dass AirChina ploetzlich mehr Geld verlangt - insgesamt waeren es ca. 30% - wir haben die Buchung dankend gecancelt. Kann mir eigentlich nicht vorstellen das Ctrip ploetzlich neue Preise von AirChina bekommen hat, vermute eher System dahinter.

BTW.: haben dann ueber AirChina Deutschland gebucht - der Preis auf der chines. Seite von AirChina war auch deutlich teurer als auf der deutschen Webseite.

Ja, genau der gleiche Spass hier... Get a call from them, telling me the whole ticket is without tax, and cannot be issued without the tax. So, why on earth take your credit card details, show the total fare, including details about each item (fuel, tax etc). If they dont know the tax, just put there: 'plus pending tax/fuel charges'



Aber wie ihr alle sehen koennt, ist dem eben nicht so. Da steht einfach, Tax 0CNY - makes it look like a special offer of some sort. It also says total (including taxes). So there is no question about mathmatics... Dann haben sie mir erklaeren wollen das dort auch steht subject to exchange rate. Schoen, aber 0 CNY is eben auch 0US$ oder 0 Euro, egal wie sehr die exchange rate fluctuates.

So schade solche Fehler sind: soweit kein Ticket ausgestellt und bestätigt wurde, besteht noch kein Beförderungsvertrag. Ctrip ist nur Vermittler der Leistungen.. Ist zwar ärgerlich, aber da wird jede Aufregung absolut umsonst sein.
